A lot off peeps from the US are against the new health care. I really cannot understand why that is. Is it because of lack of intelligence? Are they scared, because of the change or what?

This is absolutely the best and most social thing Obama can provide for his civilians.

Congratulations from my part of view and go for a visit to your dentists (lots of you couldn't afford one) :flop:

Be proud USsies, be very proud of your president.

its not the healthcare part, i agree everyone should be entitled to healthcare and not be denied, not just for them but for everyone. thats how diseases spread and viruses breed. and i do believe the insurance companies were getting greedy as hell.

i just dont agree with how they did it, all the hidden debts and brides. theres just to much crap in the bill

thanks for the welcome! but you're about a year and a half late with your congrats. We became socialists when the Govt took over numerous companies in various industries during the crash of 08... but shhhhh... dont tell us that... because Bush was a bleeding capitalist and its Obama that is the anti-american socialist... hahahah...or of course that's what most people I run into here in america (the south) think.

alot of the worry is due to unemployment, lot's of folks nowaday's can't afford it, where I live in massachusetts, it's been manditory for residents to have health insurance for some time now, and for those residents who don't have it, they get penalized. paying 65 dollars a week for health benefits in this state is excessive enough, now the federal government is following suite. the only way this could be a good thing is if the amount per week is less than 20=30 dollars a week from our paycheck, otherwise, it's just another money grab by the government on a population that's already taxed to death as it stands. there's too much corruption in the health field, now the government is stepping in for their slice of the pie. this needs to stop. cost of living expense adjustments for our retirees has been frozen for two years meanwhile the price of living rises. now tell me, does this socialism seem like a good thing for the u.s.? or should we citizens of the u.s. force democracy back into government and put tighter reigns on the national health care system

I think it was a means to an end.. The insurance companies give pay offs, so why not the opposition? It was painfully obvious that the politicians were in the insurance companies pay roll or in their pockets in some way. So how do they fight this corruption? Easy.. Fight fire with fire.. Now the power is no longer in the insurance companies hands.. People can now know when they get sick.. They will not be refused help.

doesnt sound that bad when you put it that way. hmm so whos the bad guys and whos the good guys now though?

but its still going to cost us alot more money that we dont have, just adding another bill to our paycheck to pay. making our debts last even longer, making people less free.
