IMO there is too much focus on who is doing the housework. "Back in the days" women had certain responsibilities, and men had certain responsibilities. This was mainly... develop character.
Now with the women's lib stuff, men are expected to do "their share" of housework since women are now working out of the house. So now, men have this nutty idea that paying the bills and washing dishes is what is required to be a man. For me, paying the bills and washing dishes is peripheral to the main responsibility- having character. But in modern times, we have confused the peripheral with the basic...
