Cpt Kirk (William Shatner) asks for support to name one of Pluto´s moons “VULCAN” in honour of Mr Spock

Stargazers and Star Trek fans, please unite! Your help is needed: Planet Pluto has 2 moons, which will be named shortly. Cpt Kirk (William Shatner) needs our help!

“I need your help. As you saw with my post below, I asked that fans write in to get the name of one of Pluto’s moons Vulcan (Romulus was already the name of a moon.) It apparently made a difference as they now have added it as an official name. Isn’t that wonderful. However, we now need votes, as Pluto was put put up today and we are in last place. Would you please consider voting for Vulcan? ”

To honour Mr Spock it is preferred to vote for “VULCAN” as name for one of those moons.

'Vulcan' Warps Into Lead in Pluto Moon Name Contest

Vulcan is currently in the lead, taking more than 100,000 of the 325,800 votes cast. Cerberus and Styx are running in second and third with about 75,000 and 70,000 votes respectively, but officials at SETI will take other factors into consideration when deciding what to name the moon
