Yes, and Islamic law forbids capitalism while tolerating a form of democracy. :sunny:
I can't speak about how much of the Constitution is in effect anymore... But thank God we still somewhat resemble a Republic and not a democracy!

Iran is a perfect example of that but maybe the other way round


Theocratic "capitalism"? :lol: Actually, they are more socialist, bogged down by the same problems that communists had...

Ok, another crazy question:

If the CIA has spent so much effort over so many decades learning and training others how to conduct a coup d'etat, how much effort have they spent learning how to prevent a coup d'etat?
I can't speak about how much of the Constitution is in effect anymore... But thank God we still somewhat resemble a Republic and not a democracy!

The americans had a 'coup d'etat' in 1963 - and most didn't even realise it, and still don't today - that's how good TPTB are.
