Yeah there was no information with it, one of my FB friends posted it.

Captured and killed near the border with Angola in Namibia. calling it a toy.
Brinquedinho Africano...... Capturado e morto perto da fronteira na Namibia com Angola.

Personally, i don't discredit them getting as large, or larger. Have seen alligators close to the size of the world record captured croc in the second photos.

Have personally been driving a 16ft boat, and been beside a alligator 2 or 3 feet longer then my boat, in the south east cape fear river.
We had one that was 20ft plus in the river before a few drunken hicks killed it, and about 4 of our other large gators.
One hung out at the battleship Nc, it was 15 to 16ft. Charlie is what peeps called em.
Mosshead was our largest. which was the 20 footer.

They have been trying to pass the gator that moved into his territory off as charlie, But it was a big deal in local news 5 or more years ago.
But as it was apart of the tourist attraction of the Battleship North Carolina,
The new one is about 12 to 13 foot.

Whatever happened to Charlie, the alligator at the Battleship North Carolina?
Jim Ware
StarNews

“A great question we get asked a lot,” said Heather Loftin, promotions director at the Battleship North Carolina. “He is very popular here at the ship.”

“I can confirm that Charlie is still around. Charlie (our 12– to 13-foot alligator – can’t confirm exact size as no one has gotten close enough to measure him) is the unofficial mascot of the Battleship North Carolina. We have seen him on both port and starboard sides of the ship.

“Over time, his family has grown. We’ve seen Charlie and Charlene (the wife) create their offspring Charlie. This year, we also noticed a new baby alligator. At this time the new alligator has not been named, but always looking for great ideas with names that start with the letter C.”

http://dogfacts.wordpress.com/2008/02/03/national-geographics-dr-brady-barrs-bite-pressure-tests/

In the second special, Dr. Barr was convinced that the young crocodile he’d tested was not performing up to snuff in its bite, since all the crocodilians he’d tested had all been freshly-caught specimens, which were exhausted after a struggle. He tested the device again on a 18-foot wild male Nile croc, in the wild, unrestrained, that was brumating in a den on an African river bank to escape the daytime heat, by actually crawling down the burrow himself! That animal managed, with a single bite, to exert a pressure of over SIX THOUSAND pounds per square inch, making it the most powerful bite of any animal, ever recorded.

That's a lot of pressure...
