DESTINY OF NATIONS

8. Christ and the Coming New-Age
As we come to an end of our consideration of the world today and its dominating rays, working through the nations and conditioning the people, there is a final point which I would like to make; it lies in the realm of religion and concerns the significance of Christmas. From the very night of time, as well you know, the period wherein the sun moves northward again has been regarded as a festival season; for thousands of years it has been associated with the coming of the Sun-God to save the world, to bring light and fruitfulness to the Earth and through the work of the Son of God to bring hope to humanity. The Christmas season is regarded by those who do not know any better as uniquely the Festival of the Christ, and this the Christian churches have emphasized and to this all churchmen testify. This is both true and false. The Founder of the Christian Church - God in the flesh - availed Himself of this period and came to us in the dark of the year and initiated a new era in which light was to be the distinguishing note. This has been true from several angles, even from the purely physical, for today we have a lighted world; everywhere lights are to be seen and the pitch dark nights of olden times are fast disappearing. Light has also descended on the earth in the form of the "light of knowledge." Today, education whose objective is to lead all men on to a "lighted way," is the keynote of our civilization and is a major preoccupation in all countries. The removal of illiteracy, the development of a true culture and the ascertaining of truth in all fields of thought and of research are of paramount importance in all lands.

Thus, when Christ proclaimed (as He assuredly did), along with all world Saviors and Sun-Gods, that He was [148] the Light of the worlds, He inaugurated a marvelous period in which humanity has been widely and universally enlightened. This period dates from Christmas Day, two thousand years ago, in Palestine. That was the greatest of all Christmas Days and its emanating influence was more potent than was any previous arrival of a Bearer of Light, because humanity was more ready for the light. Christ came in the sign of Pisces, the Fishes - the sign of the divine Intermediary in the highest sense, or of the medium in the lower; it is the sign of many of the world Saviors and of those Revealers of divinity Who establish world relationships. I would have you note that phrase. The major impulse driving the Christ towards special work was the desire to establish right human relations; it is also the desire - realized or unrealized - of humanity, and we know that some day the Desire of all nations will come, that right human relations will be found everywhere and that goodwill will implement that fulfilment, leading to peace in all lands and among all peoples.

Down through the ages, Christmas Day has been recognized and kept as a season of new beginnings, of better human contacts and of happier relations among families and communities. Yet just as the churches have descended into a profoundly materialistic presentation of Christianity, so the simple Christmas Day which would have pleased the heart of Christ has degenerated into an orgy of spending, of acquiring good things, and is regarded as a period which is "good for trade." We need, therefore, to remember that when any phase of life-inspired religion is interpreted entirely materially, when any civilization and culture loses its sense of spiritual values and responds mainly to the material values, then it has served its usefulness and must [149] pass away, and this in the interests of life itself and progress.

The message of the birth of Christ rings ever new but is not today understood. The emphasis during the Aquarian Age, the age into which we are fast entering, will shift away from Bethlehem to Jerusalem, and from the infant Savior to the Risen Christ. Pisces has seen, during two thousand years, the spreading light; Aquarius will see the Rising Light, and of both of these the Christ is the eternal symbol.

The ancient story of the Birth will become universalized and be seen as the story of every disciple and initiate who takes the first initiation and in his time and place becomes a server and a light-bearer. In the Aquarian Age two momentous developments will take place:

The Birth Initiation will condition human thinking and aspiration everywhere.
The religion of the Risen Christ, and not of the newly born Christ or of the crucified Christ, will be the distinctive keynote.
It is seldom realized that hundreds of thousands of people in every land have taken, or are preparing to take, this first initiation, called the Birth at Bethlehem, the House of Bread. Humanity, the world disciple, is now ready for this. Indications of the accuracy of the above statement can be seen in the reorientation of people everywhere to things spiritual, their interest in human good and human welfare, the perseverance they show in their search for light and their longing and desire for a true peace, based on right human relations, implemented by goodwill. This "mind as it is in Christ" can be seen in their revolt against materialistic religion and in the widespread effort to be [150] seen in Europe and elsewhere to return the land (Mother-Earth, the true Virgin Mary) to the people. It can be seen in the constant movement of people throughout the world from place to place, symbolized in the Gospel story by the journey of Mary with the infant Jesus into Egypt.

Then followed, as we are told in the New Testament, a cycle of thirty years wherein all we know is that the infant Jesus grew to manhood and could then take the second initiation, the Baptism in Jordan, and begin His public service. Today the many who in this life have taken the first initiation are entering the long silence of that symbolic thirty years wherein they too will grow to manhood and take the second initiation. This initiation demonstrates the complete control of the emotional nature and of all Piscean characteristics. The thirty years can be looked upon as a period of spiritual unfoldment during the three divisions into which Aquarius (and consequently the New Age now upon us) will be divided. I refer to what is technically known as the three decans of each sign. In this sign the waters of the Piscean age will, symbolically speaking, be absorbed into the water-pot carried on the shoulder of Aquarius in the symbol which is distinctive of this sign, for Aquarius is the water-carrier, bringing the water of life to the people - life more abundantly.

In the Aquarian Age, the Risen Christ is Himself the Water-Carrier; He will not this time demonstrate the perfected life of a Son of God, which was His main mission before; He will appear as the supreme Head of the Spiritual Hierarchy, meeting the need of the thirsty nations of the world - thirsty for truth, for right human relations and for loving understanding. He will be recognized this time by all and in His Own Person will testify [151] to the fact of the resurrection, and hence demonstrate the paralleling fact of the immortality of the soul, of the spiritual man. The emphasis during the past two thousand years has been on death; it has colored all the teaching of the orthodox churches; only one day in the year has been dedicated to the thought of the resurrection. The emphasis in the Aquarian Age will be on life and freedom from the tomb of matter, and this is the note which will distinguish the new world religion from all that have preceded it.

The Festival of Easter and the Feast of Pentecost will be the two outstanding days of the religious year. Pentecost is, as you must well know, the symbol of right human relations in which all men and nations will understand each other and - though speaking in many and diverse languages - will know only one spiritual speech.

It is significant that two important episodes are related in the final part of the Gospel story - one preceding and one following immediately after the apparent death of Christ. They are:

The story of the upper chamber to which the man carrying the water pot and typifying Aquarius led the disciples, and in which the first communion service was held, participated in by all and foretelling that great relationship which will distinguish humanity in the coming age, after the tests of the Piscean Age. Such a communion service has never yet been held, but the New Age will see it take place.
The story of the upper chamber in which the disciples met and arrived at a true recognition of the Risen Christ and at a perfect and complete understanding of [152] each other in spite of the symbolic diversity of tongues. They had a touch of prevision, of prophetic insight, and foresaw a little of the wonder of the Aquarian Age.
The vision in men's minds today is that of the Aquarian Age, even if they recognize it not. The future will see right relationships, true communion, a sharing of all things (wine, the blood, the life and bread, economic satisfaction) and goodwill; we have also a picture of the future of humanity when all nations are united in complete understanding and the diversity of languages - symbolic of differing traditions, cultures, civilizations and points of view - will provide no barrier to right human relations. At the center of each of these pictures is to be found the Christ. Thus the expressed aims and efforts of the United Nations will be eventually brought to fruition and a new church of God, gathered out of all religions and spiritual groups, will untidily bring to an end the great heresy of separateness. Love, unity, and the Risen Christ will be present, and He will demonstrate to us the perfect life.

1. GOODWILL

The most contagious human quality which can be organised and made effective is goodwill. It has been defined as “Love in Action”. People of goodwill are potentially the richest asset in any nation, and can have tremendous influence on public opinion when properly associated and focussed. To bring in the new day, we do not need a further appraisal of the world condition based on a particular ideology or point of view. Rather, we need a deeper sense of reality based on spiritual values, and a new perception of humanity as a unit of divine life within an ordered and purposive universe.

2.RIGHT HUMAN RELATIONS

Lucis Trust

ACTIVITIES

The activities of the Lucis Trust include the worldwide financial support of the Arcane School, the Lucis Publishing Companies, World Goodwill, Triangles, Lucis Trust Libraries and Lucis Productions.

THE ARCANE SCHOOL

The Arcane School was created by Alice A. Bailey in 1923 as a training school for adult men and women in meditation techniques and the development of spiritual potentiality. The School provides sequential courses of study and meditation, and practical training in group service.

The Arcane School is conducted by correspondence in eight languages through headquarters in New York, London, and Geneva.

The Arcane School is nonpolitical and nonsectarian. All are served. Since 1923 tens of thousands of students have taken advantage of the training.

No charges are made by the School for its services. The work is financed through the Lucis Trust by the voluntary contributions of students and those interested in the work of the School and in the teaching. Each gives according to personal circumstances.

LENDING LIBRARIES

The Lucis Trust maintains lending libraries of esoteric and occult books covering a wide variety of classifications. The libraries are maintained by voluntary donations only; books may be borrowed by mail.

THE LUCIS PUBLISHING COMPANIES

The Lucis Publishing Company of New York and the Lucis Press Ltd. of London, England publish the books written by Alice A. Bailey. Triangles is an activity of the mind, using the power of thought and of prayer to invoke light and goodwill for all humanity. The work is done by units of three people linked in a worldwide Network.

The work is financed by the voluntary donations of Triangles workers to the Lucis Trust.

WORLD GOODWILL

World Goodwill was established in 1932.

The overall purpose of World Goodwill is the establishment of right human relations through the practical application of the principle of goodwill.

World Goodwill action at present consists of:

The distribution of literature all over the world in many languages.
The publication of the World Goodwill Newsletter and Commentary.
The provision of a study course on the fundamental problems of humanity.
Cooperation with the United Nations and its Specialised Agencies.
World Service Forums.
World Goodwill is recognised by the Office of Public Information at the United Nations as a Non-Governmental Organisation. It is represented at regular briefing sessions at the United Nations in New York and Geneva.

The work is financed by voluntary donations from those men and women of goodwill concerned to maintain and expand this world service to humanity.

LUCIS PRODUCTIONS

Lucis Productions produces radio and video programs based on principles of the Ageless Wisdom, including a radio series, Inner Sight, featuring discussions on spiritual principles working out in human awareness. Also available is a video series, Twelve Spiritual Festivals, which is ideal for monthly meditation groups.

Audio and radio programs are offered on CDs or cassettes on a donation basis. Video programs may be purchased or obtained by loan through the Library. A complete list of audio, radio and video programs is available on request.

PURPOSES

The world activities of the Lucis Trust are dedicated to the establishment of right human relations. They promote the education of the human mind towards recognition and practice of the spiritual principles and values upon which a stable and interdependent world society may be based.

The Lucis Trust is nonpolitical and nonsectarian. It sponsors no special creed or dogma. The motivating impulse is Love of God, expressed through love of humanity and service of the human race.

CREATION AND OPERATION

Suffice it to say, that I am a Tibetan disciple of a certain degree, and this tells you but little, for all are disciples from the humblest aspirant up to, and beyond, the Christ Himself.

Alice Ann Bailey (June 16, 1880 – December 15, 1949), known as Alice A. Bailey or AAB to her followers, was a writer and theosophist in what she termed "Ageless Wisdom". This included occult teachings, "esoteric" psychology and healing, astrological and other philosophic and religious themes. Alice Bailey was born as Alice LaTrobe Bateman, in Manchester, England..[1] She moved to the United States in 1907, where she spent most of her life as a writer and teacher.
Her works, written between 1919 and 1949, describe a wide-ranging system of esoteric thought covering such topics as how spirituality relates to the solar system, meditation, healing, spiritual psychology, the destiny of nations, and prescriptions for society in general. She described the majority of her work as having been telepathically dictated to her by an Ascended master, initially referred to only as "the Tibetan", or by the initials "D.K.", later identified as Djwal Khul.[2] Her followers refer to her writings as The Alice A. Bailey material, or sometimes, as the AAB material.
Her writings were influenced by the works of Madame Blavatsky. Though Bailey's writings differ from the orthodox Theosophy of Madame Blavatsky, they also have much in common with it. She wrote about religious themes, including Christianity, though her writings are fundamentally different from many aspects of Christianity and of other orthodox religions. Her vision of a unified society includes a global "spirit of religion" different from traditional religious forms and including the concept of the Age of Aquarius.[3][4]
Controversy has arisen around some of Bailey's statements on nationalism, American isolationism, Soviet totalitarianism, Fascism, Zionism, Nazism, race relations, Africans, Jews, and the religions of Judaism and Christianity. Yonassan Gershom and others have claimed that her writings contain "racist" material.[5][6]

He asserts that the second coming prophesied by many religions will come in the form of Maitreya the World Teacher. Maitreya is the name Buddhists use for the future Buddha, but Creme claims that Maitreya is the teacher that all religions point towards and hope for. Other names for him, according to Creme, are the Christ, the Imam Mahdi, Krishna, and the Messiah. Creme says Maitreya is the "Avatar for the Aquarian Age" and is currently living in London since 19 July 1977

New Age progressives

New Age Progressivism has its roots in nineteenth century utopianism as defined by Hegel, Marx, and the American Transcendentalists. Transcendentalist spirituality has interesting resemblances to New Age spirituality. Prior to 1968, 20th century progressives were economic determinists and Fabian socialists. Subsequently, cultural determinism, multiculturalism, and New Age spirituality became the basis for "progressive" ideas.

The New Age Movement is politically liberal-progressive because it is about a magical general awakening to a new "consciousness" that will usher in a New Age — that is to say, a utopia. The utopia will be a left-wing multicultural land of Oz for the adults. For the teens and twenties, the psychedelic new world offers John Lennon's fantasy of unlimited sex and drugs for "all the people" of every nation and culture who have no religion and are "living for today." The kid's version of the New Age is a combination of Dr. Seuss, the big rock candy mountain, and Harry Potter — where kids discover the occult.

Unfortunately, the New Age liberals are as dismissive of the Western cultural heritage and are as addicted to big government solutions to every problem as the earlier progressives were. New Age cultists might be unpredictable in their moral, sexual, and aesthetic lives, but are astonishing predictable about political issues. They rigorously follow the prescribed positions of the left wing of the Democratic Party — while claiming to be free thinkers. Try telling a New Age cultist that he has a regimented mind, and you will be in for a tremendous fight. Conservatives argue with each other over ideas, but liberals live in the prison of group-think.

The important point to understand in this essay is that New Age Progressivism is both a political and a religious force. As a religious cult, it is messianic, and its groupies are forever looking for "the one" — just as Morpheus was searching for "the one" in the Hollywood movie The Matrix. Like the black woman in The Matrix who was "the oracle" and had to look at Neo to see if he was "the one," Oprah Winfrey, the celebrity oracle of New Age clap trap, has identified Barack Obama THE ONE.

According to esoteric teachings, the word 'Christ' is not the name of an individual, but of an office or function within the Spiritual Hierarchy of Masters. The Leader of this group is known as the Christ. This group of perfected men is also known as the Society of Illumined Minds , the Great White Brotherhood, the Masters of Wisdom and the Lords of Compassion, the Spiritual or Esoteric Hierarchy , and the Guides and Elder Brothers of Humanity. Under Their stimulus, man's civilizations have risen, flowered, died, for hundreds of thousands of years.

The normal method, or the most frequent, for the manifestation of an avatar, is to take over the body of a disciple, as happened with Jesus. The Christ took over the body of Jesus and manifested through it for the last three years. The Christ, Maitreya, remained in the Himalayas, but His consciousness, or some aspect of His consciousness, whatever was needed at the time, took over the body of the Disciple Jesus and worked through Him for the last three years of His life. all the worlds problems are because of a 150yr old woman virgin who fearlessly travelled the world in the late 1800,s to learn as much as she could about religion, philosophy and mysticism and her rediscovering the same source nearly all the worlds mystics especially those from the middle east learned all there lore, namely hermetic pbhilosophy, an ancient knowledge that was not meant to be taught to the profane in case they used it for malicious purposes, just like hey have.

so what exacly is the point of this post??, to spread hermetic philosophy or shame old blavatsky because she found the source of jesus wisdom.

who cares anyway, if you know what you know,?

nobody is forcing you to accept her stuff, she doesnt ask to be worshipped or to join her club and pitch her message ,

and for all you know, she may have a much clearer picture of the way of things in the universe than you or i ever may.

do you even try to understand what she wrote, or do you just read it to feel smug that you know better?

i guess it may be hard for you to accept thaT A WOMAN COULD BE SMART AND LEARNED HAHA, got a girlfriend? :alien51:

2. In my opinion she is deceived because she communicates with spirits and let's them manifest through
her. She has formed her opinion of religion from communicating with them. I've read a lot about her!
If there is a spirit world then she only confirms there is a God (the creator of all Yahweh and his
Son Jesus) that's why they don't deny that Jesus lived and was crucified but they change his
story of the grace of God to fit their evolution of consciousnesses and all religions are one teachings.

so youve read a lot about HER but you dont really understand what she teaches, who cares about her, its her worjk that has the gold in it, and like any tool=[insert any religion in this space] its not the tool that does good or evil, its the person weilding it,
