Sensationalist b/s what boring jobs on the production line they would have, it would make you need have a few puffs just to be able to stay at it.

1) If someone doesn't like a "boring" job on a production line then maybe they should have paid more attention in school. Also, the company has tuition programs to help people further their education so they can move on from their "boring" jobs, but I guess getting whacked in the park or at the union hall is easier.

2) As a former UAW member having done a "boring" job now and then if you show up impaired there are thousands of ways you could lose appendages or your life and the lives of others.

3) Only the naive would think that everyone that walks through the turnstile works the line. How about forklift or crane operator? Maintenance worker? And even if on the line, how about installing the brake system on YOUR car? Or the steering column, fuel system? Electrical system? How about ANY part of a vehicle capable of speeds of 100 MPH?

I worked for an American company once for a day which was all I could put up with, it was Johnson a section of the huge giant that made up parts for mining machinery and they way they treated the worker was appalling. So I went back to the construction industry to work with tower cranes and we would occasionally go and have 2 beers at lunch and maybe a toke. Never once did I see anyone get pissed or fuck up on the job.
