But I won't pray to some magician
Hanging from a cross
So tell us, who what do you pray to? [in all clarity; I certainly agree one should not venerate a graven image like the representation of Yeshua on a cross; yet your little verse implies a 'helluvalot' more, so to say]
"Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who could not hear the music"
"All our science measured against reality, is primitive and childlike - and yet, in contemporary consensus,
its the most precious thing we have"

I pray to no one. I believe we are stuck in a cycle.
1-caterpillar=pre birth
2-cocoon=here and now(locked in darkness, limited knowledge)
3-butterfly/pheonix=death(true beauty, full knowledge)

All is 1 but 1 is many, When many become 1 the All will become Greater then 1
Otoel on the Garden of Eden:
The Garden of is a methaphor for the state of the human psyche in its initial stages, it lived in peace with nature and did not seek out to improve itself but only to survive and be happy, it had an animist philosophy and thus respected all of creation. But something happened that made man realize his potential... that by gathering knowledge it would become the king of the planet, indeed they believed they could be as gods. Notice how Adam and Eve realized they were naked after the apple was bitten... symbolizing the perversion of mankind.
Fast forward to today, when scientists are walking around saying we are all just "biological robots" driven by biological impulses, that existence is just a cosmic accident, and that your life is temporary and meaningless so you may as well get as much pleasure as you can before it expires, regardless of who gets hurt.
We have come a long way....
But as long as man does not live a virtuous life and instead becomes egotistical and believes himself to be a god, the garden will never be restored.

the fallacies of that book are just about to take a nose-dive into the mythology sections, right up there with Greek and Roman mythology.

True biliever scare the shit out of me. Educating their kids with bullshit religious shit.
Parents should teach their kids truth and if you do decide to teach them religion...it would be better to teach other religions too and let them decide which one they wanna follow.
