I think I understand some of the confusion and concern but not being much of a tech-savvy guy I can't really intelligently comment on some of this.

I don't think Lukas or the owners need to generate false users, the site gets a shitload of traffic as it is.

Personally, I think he is shooting straight with us, and I will continue to give him the benefit of the doubt as long as the content remains free (in every sense of the word).

I don't see a whole lot to complain about yet.
