discussion: state of the union address & rebuttal

I think it was actually more a report on "what Obama thinks" than how the Union is doing - but that's just my opinion. I'm interested what people think of the "State of the Union" address and rebuttal (if you heard it).

I noticed these points:
- no funding cuts for the global domination program
- a rise to decency is available to USA citizens in a compartmentalized way
- another promise to extract military personnel from wars in other countries (heard that before)
- overall, way too many promises than anyone could deliver given the limits of power of his office and his term in office
- the republican response to his speech was even more unrealistic and OTL
