Does this make sense??????

Ok. You have a hair dresser, who makes around 10$ an hour or so and maybe some tips. Has two kids, lives in income based apt. You have a nurse who went to school for 4 years and makes 20$+ an hour and has 2 kids and live in the same income based apt. Both had children before they got all the way thru school.

Both have school debt from thier respective careers. The nurse hase way more over all school dept and general dept due to her school and her credit cards used to get thru school. The nurse still has decent credit and all that and so does the hair dresser. The hair dresser doesnt have near the debt of the nurse because, lets face it, cosmotology school isnt that exspensive or long.

Because of governtent grants, the hair dresser gets a 30,000$ peice of land and is able to build a brand new 100,000 dollar house in a very nice neigborhood.

The nurse for the life of her cant recieve any type of help or loan to get out of the income based apartments and into a house for her family. She makes to much money for grants and at the same time cant afford the 20$ down payment for a loan on the house she wants.

I would say both need and deserve the help. But where is the help for the nurse? Does anyone else see the descrepency here?

Yes, the world is FULL of the same discrepencies.... most times they make no sense..

1 man working hard sole income earner has a wife and 2 kids who depend on him, they struggle to pay their rent. Wife at home looking after kids. Wife wants to return to work to help support the family budget.. no child assistance provided, actually for every $1 she earns she pays approx $1.2 in child care.

If the same wife does not return to work, child care is free... what for? so she can go play tennis?

This is an actual true story...

All I see is someone whining... and no, it doesn't make much sense but then that's due more to your poor grammar and spelling than the topic of your post. These things are never as 'black and white' as you report here.

I disagree, sometimes things are clear and they are unfair... but that is the 'imperfect' system we live in..

To dismiss one's lament as a whinge and offer no explanation is both rude and shows a complete lack of understanding...

If you know something about the topic, ask questions and try and get the OP to understand that which they are failing to see... or simply keep your comments to yourself...

With regards to poor grammer.. you will note that for many people who post in this forum English is a secondary or tertiary language...

Your exactly right Iwanci. Whats most confusing to me is the hair dresser girl gets all the help to buy a $130,000 piece of property that she probably cant afford but the nurse cant even get a loan of any kind to buy a $90,000 house. Thats a huge gap difference in price. That would mean they think a 10-12$ per hour wage can afford a 130,000$ house but yet they think a 20$+ per hour wage cant afford a 90,000$ house?

And yes im talking about my girlfriend (the nurse) lol.
