:sunny: These luxury flats, deep below the Kansas prairie in the shaft of an abandoned missile silo, are meant to withstand everything from economic collapse and solar flares to terrorist attacks and pandemics. So far, four buyers have thrown down a total of about $7million (£4.4m) for havens to flee to when disaster happens or the end is nigh.

This one was on Doomsday Preppers.

They look nice. I'd buy one if I had the money.

It's just like an underground condo.

Nice for sure, but good luck getting there if either of these scenarios are announced (when disaster happens or the end is nigh) or become evident. No point in having a shelter if you are not nearby. Guess that would mean that someone important, who perhaps could get there no matter where they are, bought them.

No, those are meant to be lived in now.

I'm sure the episode is on youtube by now.

They're really nice.

Hey guys. Read somewhere in the last few months that the gov. Now considers preppers to be subversive, or anti-gov.- something like that. They're looking to put them on a list- if I remember correctly. Is that true? Anyone know about, or hear about this?

Yeah, of course I heard about that. I got a "survival" website.

You would have to be more specific about this list though.

You're not gonna be put on some list for buying survival supplies. I don't care what people say. 80% of the country would be on it then. Makes no sense.

I don't believe in that "list" stuff.

Yeah. I thought it was stupid. All last year I saw regularly broadcast gov. psa's telling people to think ahead and to be prepared for any emergencies, such as natural disaster's- earthquakes, hurricanes, etc. :peep: lol.

Alright. It seems like I saw that info. about the lists in a newspaper, but I can't remember exactly. I'll see what I can find on it.

Ok. Found some stuff, but didn't wanna keep this thread off topic, so posted it here:

There's some stuff that you might be interested in, Dom. Check it out.

Cool thread, Steve. :flop:

The underground condo's/ bunkers's look great, but if you think about someone having to use them to escape what's going on above the surface, then it doesn't seem so great. Ya know? Especially if they had to spend the remainder of their lives down there. Ouch!!!.
