Dragon Age: Origins video game contains secret gay sex scene

The acclaimed new video game Dragon Age: Origins features a "secret" scene in which a man and an elf have gay sex, it has been disclosed.

Players of the fantasy game can only access the steamy footage by seducing the warrior elf Zevran with the correct combination of cheesy chat-up lines.

In a clip posted online, the gamer-controlled human character opens with the old favourite "I want to discuss something personal" - one of four dialogue options available

He then makes his intentions explicit with "Can you join me in my tent?", before pressing home the point with the unequivocally flirty "I bet you're good at a lot of things".

The action then cuts to the two characters in a state of undress enjoying what his euphemistically referred to as a passionate embrace.

The unexpected romantic interlude has met with a predictably infantile response from some YouTube commenters, but many gamers congratulated the creators BioWare for including a gay plot in the roleplay.

Homosexual characters and themes are scarce in the video game industry, which draws much of its income from macho, violent titles such as Grand Theft Auto and Call of Duty.

The website GayGamer.net wrote: "With this bare-chested and unflinching portrayal, it feels as if the depiction of gay sex in video games has reached a new level of equal treatment.

"This is more than just a mincing gay pirate or an evasive fade-to-black: there's choreography, tenderness, humor and even an element of sexual politics to Zevran's post-coital conversation.

"Kudos to BioWare for adding a bit of a gay storyline to their game and for dealing with gay romance as even-handedly as they do the heterosexual options."

Dragon Age: Origins was released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC earlier his month.

It has a score of 91 out of 100 on the review aggregation website MetaCritic, earning praise for its " stunning visuals, emotionally-driven narrative, heart-pounding combat, powerful magic abilities and credible digital actors".

I highly doubt that you have to go through such so basically you only will if you Choose to do such. What is so wrong with that?

I guess if some folks having that choice makes you not want to buy a game then that is your right but I personally see nothing wrong with it.

It astounds me personally how everyone wants their own personal rights but the rights of other citizens mean less.

I'm playing this game right now and for like the last whole month.
It's freaking awesome. I haven't finished it yet.

I am a dwarf from the slums who gets caught stealing all the time. I'm trying to fuck the black haired wild witch woman but she will only let me kiss her(for now). Fuck! I even helped her out by finding her mothers spellbook and then killing her mother for her. (Her mother was an evil dragon who raised daughters to a certain age and then took over their bodies so she could live forever. She was doing it for hundreds of years.) What's wrong Bioware? If I do all that I should get to fuck her, right?
