I have not taken a good look at alchemy to know what it is all about. I have often thought in casual observation that alchemy = alagorical chemistry.
I will share what little magic I know. The 3 words "I don't know" when spoken to yourself with all sincerity will produce a magic. The mind grabs it and goes into overdrive to find all information or evidence to learn and understand that unknown. Conversly, if you can never say those three words it makes learning very difficult.

i believe in man.the only belief system that actually has balls.
most belief systems point in that direction also
i wasnt made in this image for nothing.i refuse to be nothing
the truth of my belief system is in the mirror
i didnt always believe in man
i heard the words,child of light,and thought ya thats it ,i'm a child of light
but when confronted with darkness,i thought how can there be darkness in a child of light.
then for abit,i thought ,maybe i'm a child of darkness.
but when confronted with light,i thought how can there be light in a child of darkness
there seemed to be a war, of light and dark in my thoughts
so i watched for awhile.
then i noticed an odd thing
that both were only man,attemping to attach to one or the other
all around me ,all i saw was man
children of light and dark denying both aspects and leaning to one or the other
both complacient to be warring against each other.
so i listened for awhile
and i noticed an odd thing
i saw that i was both,and that i ,as a man was greater than both

were do children get thier ideas and nurturing from.
old ideas keep pushing down the new.
