personally i kinda like it when people post a video with no explanation....it is very unpretentious...like when an artist has a show at a gallery and provides no explanation as to what her paintings really mean/...it fosters the imagination.

I posted this comment in another topic, but its the same thing so I will repost here and delete the other..

Here in simplistic terms....this is a forum not video section...a thread or topic with an associated video is fine, just a video with no comment is frustrating (for me & MAYBE OTHERS) and should be posted in the video section for comments..

Yes, i paint, and as a matter of course, when i show, i write about them, so i wount have that inevitable conversation with a view, where they are telling ME what i meant by painting this or that..

Unless, its MEANT to be vague, and my stuff isnt.

I want someone to take the time to say..here are my thoughts on what im presenting..or else i tend to look at it as a very soft form of spam..and i dont watch links that have no personal communication..just a utube link..

I mean even if its just context. (they dont have to go into their beliefs, per se)
Hey, here is this video, its about this..made by these people...
(then if they want..I agree or disagree with premise)

THAT is what sets up the conversation.
Conversations are what forums are for.
Or else they are news/info aggregators like Drudge..
