My Earthquake kit has everything in it from canned goods to leashes, toys/treats for my dog and cat!
Yes, I noted in the "maps" and lists they have at http://earthquakescanada.nrcan.gc.ca/index-eng.php I click on the West coast, then click closer in, either to the Northern coast of BC or the Southern Coast. There's what I'd say as an amateur, 'a lot' of "tremors" there. I mean, just look at this photo they posted for this last week. http://outdoors.webshots.com/photo/2497 ... t=outdoors
Now most of these "tremors" are usually no more than 1.0's to maybe deep 3.0 Richter scale events.
There's also to consider the Episodic slip events. In these many small quakes happen over a few days and they say these could trigger a "large event" quake.
Either way, there's certainly a lot of activity on the coast here and it baffles me how "oblivious" to it the general population is. it also boggles my mind that the last quake felt around the Vancouver area was over a decade ago, yet places like California, The Asian Pacific area, almost annually are "hit' by some major events. Are we "lucky"? Or are we "primed" for a REALLY "Big" event (which is what they are telling us.).
I guess time will tell.
Look ahead to me probably putting my two cents worth in on any threads about quakes heheehe
