Looks bad ass. http://earthship.com/simple-survival
Cool video. It's too bad that the only way this kind of stuff gains momentum is through grass-roots progression. The home manufacturing industry in America- in whole, and in part- hate this kind of thinking/ progress- unless they can produce/ manufacture the materials being used- of course. It really is up to the individual to act accordingly and to do the right thing when it comes to greening their habitats and lives, communities, etc. The main problem is that it requires concentrated effort, and sometimes, a little more work. A lot of people spend so much energy, effort, and time just being a slave to the system, between commuting and actual labors, they don't have a hell of a lot of "free" time. A good portion of the rest are just lazy, or don't care, or even think about it one iota. This kind of forward thinking has to be pushed more- from the inside. Because there are a lot of industries involved that don't appreciate this kind of change, it's a slow movement forward. It owes it's progress to people like you, who push the info. out there..
That one is bad ass, Dom. It reminds me of Luke's home in Tattooine.

This is eco-modernisation, proving once and for all that eco-friendly design and construction/building does not have to smell or look funny.
In fact, it is cheaper, quicker, easier and safer to construct such an 'earthship' than any conventional construction technique! This is eco-rationality in action.
Prepare to be amazed.
