While looking at photos of mars something grabbed my attention. Here’s the link to the original picture:

The reason it stud out for me, is because it reminds me of the statues in Egypt.

What do you think?

Wow that's excellent even if its a natural coincidence its still unusual and very striking! Once you see it its hard to deny its familiar form. I did a quick qoogle and found more info on another forum http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread356078/pg1
If posting links to other forums is frowned upon I apologise and consider it a noobs mistake.

It also reminded me of the picture below and this comment
"Whitley Strieber took this question to a statistician, to determine the probability that this was, indeed, just a rock. He laughed in Whitley's face and agreed to tell "anybody" that it was either a living figure or a statue. Then he found out it was on Mars. He demanded anonymity and refused an interview on Dreamland. Thus does the prejudice of the scientific community throw away knowledge." - Gleaned from the brilliant http://posthumanblues.blogspot.com/

Great find Grey and my first wow, make that second wow of the day, I posted a video of a supposed moon structure earlier that if nothing else is entertaining, especially the buggy ride. :)

The egyptian structure is compelling except for its location in a jagged rock formation high up with no visible way to get to it. It'd be nice to see if from a different angle.

The mars structure always looked to me like a martian native taking a stroll across the terrain in something akin to desert garb.

If this http://www.nasa.gov/images/content/2070 ... 071220.jpg is a foto of mars, then it show allot more then just an Egyptian statue :alien:

Long ago there was life like ours on mars, this is a big crater on your right.
If you belive there is more between our heaven and earth you should check this interview with a reincarnated boy from Mars of Project Camelot.

Honestly I never know what to make of these things. It's just in our nature to find familiar forms in an otherwise unremarkable picture. I will admit though, this is one of the better pics I've seen of a supposed unnatural structure on Mars. Better than that goofy face anyway.

But I just don't trust my brain with this stuff. It plays tricks on me and can be a real meanie sometimes... ;)
It is my firm belief that it is a mistake to hold firm beliefs. Image

Hello. I am new here, but, am not new rationality. The original post's picture of the statue is very intriguing, and, if you'll look a good bit more to the left you will find another feature, which, in my opinion is even more striking and even more "life-like".

The Mars "statue" picture further down in the post is a feeble attempt at "proof".

First, notice the pixelation of the "form" and it's applied blur. The "native" rocks of the same tones have the same type of pixelation and blur in the dark places. No other place in the entire image has these attributes.

The rock which the "form" rests upon is native to the original image. So are the other structures to the left and right. They in no way match the contrast of the "form" any place other than dark areas. These dark areas just happen to match the contrast of the believers' "statue".

The original image will not display pixelation in it's native resolution in nearly the same way a digitally captured image would at the same resolution, since, the native image was from a film or some type of frequency camera, and, those images will only lose focus and clarity as it is stretched or enlarged in the dark room, prior to being scanned. The "form" we are seeing is of a non-native environment.

Furthermore, notice the lack of clarity in the background and foreground, yet, we can clearly see a breast and the crease formed by kneeling legs. We can also see a slight bit of red background through the head since it's opacity has been set to low. The background is even more visible through the outstretched arm.

Lastly.......where is the dust, people? Would this "statue" not be just as dusty and dirty as the rest of the planet, unless the little green maids keep her spiffy just for peepers like us?

I am not trying to be arrogant, but, we must all arm ourselves with some image editing skills before we go and believe whatever we see.......

I won't tell how the image could have been faked better because the more people that can fake, the more ignorance we encourage.
