I think it is simply that our "minds eye" is just a viewing window into somewhat of a pure energy stream. Imagine a massive pipeline of pure energy flowing by and your mind is like opening a port-hole into that flow. We will probably have absolutely no clue what we are seeing but we get small glimpses at times. Occasionaly or rarely we may even get a whole big junk of wisdom or understanding.

This helps me to understand how some individuals can achieve almost super-human feats of intellect , understanding, and comprehension, even if they have had no formal background in the field they suddenly had an epiphany in.

Thats a wonderful understanding of it, and I agree wholeheartedly...and these types of spontaneous bursts of "insight" happen more frequently when you open up your perception/mind, which can be where weed plays a role for sure. Its funny, I will smoke weed to actually STOP thinking deeply on things...to take a break from the mode my mind seems to be naturally set to, while others use it to induce the opposite state. Anyone else experience this effect of weed in a similar manner? And wasnt it Einstein that said Imagination is more important than knowledge? Im not gonna argue with that guy...

I like the analogy, but would take it one step further and suggest that those that do receive an epiphany, such as inventors, authors, artist and philosophers are actually intentionally being provided this information as a way of circumventing the 'prime directive' and conditioning human's to new possibilities.

Gene Roddenberry said he came up with the idea for Star Trek from a dream, WOW what a dream! The point being that here is a prime example of information being related in the form of a story or 'legend' or myth. TV reaches the most people possible, what better way to reach the maximum audience.

If you lived on a nearby planet would you want your neighbor flying around the solar system with a nuclear arsenal?

When we got to the moon, they said don't come back until you have disarmed, you can send out unmanned probes but in only one direction.

Consider if a planet was on the exact opposite side of the sun in the same orbit as Earth would we ever become aware of its existence or have we already and decided that the general public is not ready for the truth.
