Europe Under Threat From Separatist Movements

Separatist movements in Europe have a history of nasty violence.

Well that's what happens when a people who have a separate identity are denied and villified .

The nutters take over .

Britain is really under threat from a very real separatist movement now because now it looks as though the nationalists are going to win a majority in the Scottish parliament - something no other party has managed to do before - and they are committed to holding a referendum on Scottish independence from the United Kingdom.

Personally, although I'm not a nationalist I think I'd vote for it for, I think, a couple of good reasons: Firstly, here in Scotland we overwhelmingly vote against the tories, yet every time they come into power they attack public services and take political decisions which may be suited to middle England but which oppose the sensibilities of the vast majority of Scots. When the tories come to power Scotland weeps. The liberals have just found to their cost how people here feel about their coalescence with Cameron's tory government.

Secondly, the nationalists are opposed to trident and, from a selfish perspective, I don't want to be living thirty miles from the biggest nuclear target in Western Europe. I want rid of it. So, when the danger of separatism realises itself I'll be voting in favour because nuclear bombs seem more dangerous to me than separatism.

I don't really see separatism as a threat. Who is it a threat to?

the word itself describes it's threat.
example...
the most separatist and destructive entity on the planet is the american two-party system.
separatism is how they control us.keep us fighting each other and we'll never fight them.
