Yeah dude, and it's not like falling asleep or anything like that, it was instantaneous, nearly 2 hours gone...
Being we were on a busy road, maybe someone saw something, but I've never found a report of it, Though I have looked. That's what got me into researching, the same as most of us that have had sightings...
I have always been looking for that confirmation that someone else saw something on that morning, because the thought that you might be crazy, can start to make you believe it.....

I haven't got a personal story; but I know of a very fascinating story that happened to my Dad's friend, in the first Iraq war.

My Dad's friend was a Marine commando. The incident happened towards the end of the conflict, when the Iraqi's were withdrawing from Kuwait. He was operating near the 'road of death', when he got a call over the radio that an American Apache Helicopter was being tailed by an unidentified flying Object, that was coming his way. He was with a group of other Marines', and they moved to intercept the object that was trailing the Apache. He describes the object as a 'Black Orb'. He was then told to open fire on the object, which he and the other Marines' did. What followed, was what got me. He told my dad that he thought the engagement lasted around 15 minutes; but what they thought was 15 minutes, was actually two and half hours. The engagement started at around 3am; but when it was over, the sun was coming up, and it was around 5.30am. He then went on to tell my dad - who told me the story - as Kevin, the Marine in question, now lives in Australia - that the area was buzzing with American soldiers, and civies, as he referred to them. They had brought down the object, with the help of the Apache. It turned out that they couldn't lock onto the object with guided weapons, but could hit it with 'unguided' projectiles. Kevin went to investigate further, but was blocked from getting too close. He did tell my dad that he heard someone talking about 'robots'. He also mentioned having a weird metallic taste in his mouth.

My dad felt that he never told him the whole story. He pressed him a few times on it, but Kevin never elaborated further.

I last saw Kevin when I was a teenager. He told my dad this story while they were on a fishing trip.
Kevin, was not the sort of bloke to talk bollocks. He was the sort of bloke that would have pissed himself with laughter if someone would have told him that story. My dad believed him, and so do I because the story fits with so many other accounts I have heard.

Zeta, I have had the memory of my main incident for 35 or so years. I finally got the courage to ask the one witness to it what the fuck happened, yet still I had to camouflage my true thoughts. I asked him if he remembered the "experimental craft over my house, was it really there?"
"yes" he said, "it was definitely there". I thinks he was holding back too.
This was about 10 months ago and I need to ask him out right "was there a fuckin saucer 20 foot over my house in the middle of the night?!" But it is just such a heavy thing to ask someone that you see about once every 2 years without feeling like a nutter.

That is nuts T. I remember a story from the Iraq war about huge glowing orbs above the burning oil fields that the soldiers filmed. Can't remember if it was personally relayed or I saw it on here or somewhere.
Cheers.
