Actually it was 5000 not 500 and the person who was making play to try and make an issue is a sychophantic dick. Thats why the thread was locked. People who just come to make a point of their displeasure of other posters rather than adding anything consructive is reflecting were they're coming from and are corrosive to this site. Have they nothing better to do. So to say it blew up in his face is incorrect. Thats just the point of view of the haters and thats all they'll ever be. And for you info Kurious its been noted in the past that excersise can be harmful to older generation. Here is a segment taken from a study group in 2005.

Exercise testing provides information on the risk of death that is incremental to clinical data and traditional risk factors for death. Cardiovascular monitoring during exercise testing is recommended as a safety precaution. Cardio- or cerebrovascular health problems can occur during exercise training programmes involving elderly people, although they may not be directly related to physical exertion. The dose-response relationships in relation to physical exercise among elderly people remain in need of further clarification in population-based trials

So you see Kurios unfortunately your wrong, Jones's piece does not state the obvious according to this medical study and you should be grateful that anyone who posts info is doing us all a favour and this info he's posted is appreciated to some of us.

I think best to get back on track with the subject title :flop: which should be uppermost in everyones thoughts namely good health.
Everyone knows someone who is unfit but who lives more than their 3 score and 10 but at what quality of lifestyle? Who is to say what is best for an individual as long as they are happy however phaps in this modern age where we sit and tap our keyboards more than ever in place of a get up and go approach if able through finances or health for example maybe we just trust too much in what Google or Wikipedia says...and I know I am as guilty as most on this.
One thing is for sure say on the gaming front where we have the Wi Fit this maybe is proactive for our health compared to playing Doom from an armchair...Hey but then I know someone who slipped off their Wi Fit mat and damaged a knee ligament and that had them incapacitated in a chair for some days, You cant win :bang; Good Health All.

I think you may have missed my sentiment so I will repeat for your pleasure thesaint -

WHO GIVES A SHIT ? REALLY ?

Is there anybody on DTV who is old enough to benefit from this post ?

To reiterate my point is it blinding obvious that exercise is good for you no matter what your age & nobody is talking about all forms of exercise either, it's patently obvious you wouldn't recommend your Gran do a triathlon but then again a gentle paddle in the pool is more than OK & is a great form of exercise for old folk, so there I didn't have to produce any blistering scientific evidence to back that up either did I smart arse ?

Anyway why would any of you want health advice from someone who still lives at home with his parents & gets his rocks off over posting on a message board 500 or 5000 times ? The number is irrelevant the sentiment or reason on the other hand behind the mentality of a individual who reaches out for numbers as a form of self certification is what's really important here.

You are right though I did make a point of it to show my dislike of Jones, I really cant stand the mixed up little turd, go ahead & shoot me down for being pointing out some home truth's I really couldn't care less but dont go there about name calling as you started that shit first.

By the way that's. not how you spell sycophantic either genius, but that's Scousers for you.

People wonder why DTV is going through a bit of a 'phase' well it's irrelevant topics about old people exercising, putting avocados in smoothies or patting yourself on the back because you hit a mile stone in internet message board posting maybe playing a part in bringing down the overall quality of discussion ?

Kurious said- ' Is there anybody on DTV who is old enough to benefit from this post ? '

Drjones said- ' No excuses now bugme'(Referring to disclose member bugmenot, age in profile 76)... :D

Kurious :owned: by drjones yet again, although i'd rather go with aardvark's advice, back to discussing the topic. :flop:

'Irrelevant topics' you say Kurious....also I'm a 'mixed up little turd'...Who's anyone to say what we should or should'nt discuss on here?...I could say the same about you and your posts yes?...Get a life bawbag(Scottish term)!!

Only somebody who still lives at home with his parents could justify such a over inflated sense of self importance. Your right you are the dick especially for pointing out that 'Penn & Teller say organics are bad for you'.

Kind of missed the point on that one didn't you Jones which is you all over.
