F#^% THE MAYAN GODS AND PROPHECIES
Why do we give so much attention now to the Mayan prophecies? the Mayan calendar? the 2012? the Mayan gods?
The Mayans sacrificed thousands of people on those pyramids. they sacrificed children to these gods, that are now being honored by the new age bullshit that has taken over much of the truth movement.
Why should we all cherish the prophecies and teachings of these gods who demanded slaughter? these religions that taught to sacrifice children? innocents? virgins? Fuck the Mayan prophecies and those like it. Fuck those evil gods, there is NO reason to beleive in that bullshit.
If real, those gods are sick and evil scum who desire the blood of the innocent. Honor them? No, I think not.
Then laugh at other religions?
...
does Christianity require the sacrifices of children? does Judaism? does Islam? does Buddhism? Does Confucianism? no, these religions and philosophies are all being twisted now by new lies even more than they have been already. And them ancient prophecies like these Mayan ones, are being promoted as spiritual truth? If you want to beleive in something from a text or teaching, why not pick a god who doesn't require the sacrifice of the innocent?
These gods and prophecies are being honored today on a wide scale, and being used to promote a new belief in old teachings, what we call the New age movement, and these old gods deserve none of the honor they are being given.

Christianity did involve a blood sacrifice... though it has been glossed over by history.
Prior to the birth of JC, King Herod was so fearful of the coming messiah that he had all the infant boys murdered.
Was it an intentional blood sacrifice? NO
But the outcome (arguably) may have been, all the same.

I don't see the Mayans as gods or anything like that. It is puzzling how a supposed primitive society had such knowledge of time though. Of course that might just be a form of racism that "savages" were not as smart as the Europeans that came and conquered their land.

Herod was the bad guy in the story of the birth of Jesus...

Exactly.
But in his attempts to prevent the coming, he actually unintentionally contributed to it.
That's what I think anyway...

Ahh yes, excellent point.
The Catholic Church is responsible for more deaths than any other group in recorded history.

the crusades weren't in any way christian. Just because something was done in its name doesn't mean it was christian. Hitler said he was doing his slaughter for the good of the world, that wasn't for the good of the world, just like the crusades weren't good for Christianity.
the point isnt what people have done historically, yes people are terrible and commit horrible crimes against other humans on a mass scale all the time, in all different cultures. But this is religion we are talking about, spirituality that is drawing from the teachings of those who worshiped gods they felt the need to sacrifice their children to. That is sick, those 'gods' are sick and not even remotely worthy of worship or honoring.

the christian god in the bible at times (Which are always drastic, for example the Cannanites who were sacrificing their children to evil gods) commands death of his enemies, you cant compare that to gods that require the sacrifice of the children of its own followers.
