Faster than ligh travel. Hmm. I think the trick is to not move at all but move space.

I guess thats what Warp drives do but the energy required to create enough mass to warp space is so huge it probably couldn't be obtained.?

Talking about faster than light. Try and answer me this. Its bugged me for years.

If mass cannot travel faster than light then how can we be here where we are, look back through space at the big bang and the light from the big bang hasn't even reached us yet.? Well how did we get here before the light.? :bang;

But the ring would have to be composed of "exotic matter". Something that doesn't actually exist. And, with the recent revelation that dark matter doesn't actually exist, it's unlikely any other types of exotic matter - matter with negative mass and gravity - can be manufactured.

It's like saying that warp travel is possible if we find a material that naturally produces a warp field. While we're at it, let's find a material that produces a time travel field or teleportation too.

Still, it's fun to dream.

Sub-quantum kinetics, proves that superluminal speeds exist. Such forces are released from galactic center explosions, aka- galactic superwaves. If there are civilizations in the galaxy that are a million or even a billion years ahead of us, imo, it is more than plausible.

I'm going out on a limb here but, I believe ET's exist and they are visiting. I also believe they come from another galaxy or dimension. Therefore exotic form of transportation and traveling faster than the speed of light must be possible. So....it's based on a big if, IF aliens are here.
