There is actually a small growing movement of Muslims who want to purge this archaic evil that has permeated modern Islam. First we had to find the source of the scourge, the original "seed" so to speak. Now the proper information must be disseminated into the populace. But... I find that I encounter resistance in even the most stable and seemingly reasonable of Muslims. But this is due to the deeply held traditions of including the ways that are taught in the Hadith within the practice of the religion itself. It is soo deeply ingrained that I fear it may be too late. Although I have found that when I bring this issue up with the real scholars (not imams, sheikhs, etc) but the actual scholars of Islam in the universities. All of them agree with me. At least all of them that I have encountered. What motivated me to come to this region years ago was the desire to learn the truth about Muslims without the bias of the American mindset. It must be communicated to the western world that a vast majority of the worlds' Muslims are pious, peaceful, good people and they do not subscribe to the aggressive evil of the extremist groups. But I also have found that there is some kind of "empathy" towards the heretical teachings of the Hadith that is inherent in the modern understanding of Islam. This has been created and perpetuated by a great many of the Imams who teach the principals of Islam with a bias... a terrible bias. In my travels I find this to be extremely common in many Mosques. These men will pay for their crimes in the end along with those who perpetuate these beliefs and excuses. There is no need to make excuses for the Quran but they always have to make excuses for the Hadith. Complex and often deceptive explanations in order to achieve their ends of calling the Hadith acceptable. It is the Hadith that the stupid belief in the 72 virgins comes from. This is not stated anywhere in the Quran. This is only one of literally thousands of similar examples contained in the Hadith in which lies are told which in turn cause and perpetuate most of the unreasonable behaviors observed in modern Islam. Muslims need to get to their roots, the Q'uran. And avoid using the historical document that is called the Hadith to mutate a great religion that is basically the "3rd testament".
But this very thought process that I present puts me in danger in some circles. I would be executed in Pakistan for this, imprisoned in Saudi Arabia, Iran, and a few others. It is considered blasphemy by some of the more fundamentalist groups/sects of Islam. But... the time is coming when Muslims will have to purge their culture and religion of these false beliefs and become the good people that they actually are. The average Muslim is no different than you or I. Good, loving people who just want to live a happy life in peace and prosperity. I am glad that Dr. Abraham has arrived here at DTV. He seems to have a lot of good to contribute.
Also.... It's been awhile Spock... I thought you had disappeared.
