Over 40 min of continuous work is shown of a perpetuum mobile constructed by Reidar Finsrud of Norway. This is the first public display of a working perpetuum mobile in modern history.

I only watched the vid for a short while, theres gotta be a trick to that though it wouldnt just keep going, could be a small motor moving a little weight somewhere inside to keep it going.

At about 40 min. they talk a bit about it. Take a look at there again, may help...
I think it´s possible to create that kind of visual play of magnetism and gravity...
The heavy ball seems to generate a lot of energy with the movement carried by the red magnets..( if they use less energy when powered that´s it) and the "overdoze" is channeled to the ballistic pendulum...
A great model!

Appart from friction working against it i did notice another thing whenever theres an impact(two things colliding) even more energy is lost, this has to be faked perpetual motion just doesnt work, looks good though.
