True Bear Grills(?) did it on Discovery...nasty though. NASA has perfected filtration and purification of urine for drinking water for the ISS....still nasty, chink's right it's psychological more than anything else.

In fact quite a few earthquake survivors in the past made it through and lived for days under ruble just by drinking their urine.

Unfortunately, the forgotten part is that if stressed, drinking that same urine the second time through can raise mineral salts inside the body to toxic levels.

True but of course everyone would like to hope he/she wouldn't have to drink his/her own piss more than once until he/she gets rescued. But if it comes to that sort of situation, I guess you don't have much of a choice, right?
