Such a great memory, such small back-bone. Stand for something or fall for anything. The thread you are quoting began a long series of educated debate between charashc, phaeton, and myself--something that seems lost on those venting in this thread.
No. It simply proves my point, that EXACTLY like your behavior in THAT thread, where you shoveled orthodox dogma onto a discussion that didn't actually concern you and had nothing to do with orthodoxy, and in the process TURNED AWAY some who were actually interested. Now, if you go back to the beginning of THIS thread, you will see by your own language that you are doing the EXACT SAME THING. And the fact that you can't see that, only goes to show just how CLUELESS and insensitive you are to how poorly you present "the message."
It's impossible to argue religious ideals in a secular forum, that was my reasoning for saying this thread was a bad idea. You can always debate discrepancies of dogma within religious circles - that's normal. And it's okay to present the message here, but expect the backlash.
And it really does Christians a disservice (myself included) to argue the details or to try to win someone over on a forum such as this.
The most rational position for believers is to argue the position that there most likely is a God, period. The points made from within religion are not just lost, but are hammered, it's like arguing that: my grandma's ham-hock/butterbean and cornbread recipe is better than your grandmas. Futile, pointless, subjective.
Even though I know for a fact my grandmas butter beans and cornbread are better than yours!!!!
The best any believer can hope for on a forum such as this, is to win someone over, through debate, to the idea, that there could be a God (agnosticism). Or at the very least, to appreciate why people believe in a God.
It's called "meeting the other halfway" and there is much admiration in that when debating something subjective.

ATHEISM:
The belief there was once absolutely nothing. Nothing happened to the nothing until the nothing exploded into everything. Then all of the exploded everything rearranged itself, into self-replicating bits which turned into dinosaurs.
