'Quite"Just as long as you realize that as a new member, as long as you popping in to threads not to contribute but to be slinging unreasonable personal insults around or being abusive or dismissive yourself, that if a long time member (one of the ones you say would know who you were talking about) saw YOU being attacked for no reason, those Claws that everyone seems to be so wary of would come out sharpened and ready to draw blood in your defence..regardless of what Blotto thinks on the subject.

Yeah Low has got a big shield to defend, but a bigger sword to attack. He's one of the true ones on here I respect. Although he does have a thing for cops. hehe!

DragonLady...i meant it too..

Ive enjoyed the perspectives fof a lot of new members and former lurkers and Im trying to make them feel at ease about contributing.. but there are a handful who take it as their task to come and take one of us down. This isnt a prison where you got to come and pick a fight with the biggest dude in the block ont he first day to establish respect..you just gotta be articulate and consistent, and not use the word Disinfo Agent on someone simply becuase they disagree with a conspiracy.....or to come and disrupt the flow.. (im no saint by any stretch..ive been out of line, but thats where the fangs of those vets comes into play..they arent above sinkin them into MY neck if im out of line too...and i DO take responsibility for my words and actions)

And that really does go for every vet that takes heat for being a dick...all pretty decent minded people, when it comes to protecting people who just come here to discuss stuff. 99% of the time, its the newb that starts swinging body parts to make an impression..to pick fights, and to antagonize..

The exception to that 99% rule was...
Eagan destroyed that birthing thread and ripping the poster..for no reason.
He romped all over a new member who was just trying to sort out for himself how he and his new bride should bring their first into the world..looking for feedback..and a womans' perspective..note the member bailed and hasnt returned..

(HUGE difference between what Eagan does regularly, and what the other long standers do..i just need to make that clarification)

I noted your reaction, and realized that if the new member had gotten a level of discussion more fitting a forum like this instead of Eagan as a vet making up that garbage about 'selling a business' and 'baby abductions', to "create" a reason to rail against that kid.... it might have been productive. And wouldnt have been a dead subject to you.. (maybe)

I myself have questions and curiosity about midwife births..
and the thread was just destroyed for nothing..

I thought that was sad...

Nice to make your acquaintance, Dragonlady.........There are some mighty flighty souls around here.

That is just the thing............Anyone can fit it. Nothing is required...........You/I/Them.......

No one has to be anything that they aren't.

Some just choose to look for a problem and or a fight. Naturally that can be found if that is what one wants.

Even the people who force their way through conflict fit. It's not like the prince looking for cinderella or anything. My experience has shown me that all are welcome, some just choose to leave because it isn't a coddling experience.

Anyway...............
