I appreciate the reply. I don't want to make it seem all members should know every single thing. However, I have been here a short time and have seen a few secretive things. Example the Smurf thread controversy. I have no problems speculating, that is why we are here, and that ruckus seemed harmless at a distance. Nonetheless, I get home from work tonight and the first thing I see are confused members in a thread about spooks. IMO, and I know I don't run things nor want to, if there is a known spook they should be exposed. The possibilities of doing so would be many and members might be a little more trustful with each other. Plus, a disclosure site wouldn't seem secretive which kills the mood. Since you say it is not a threat, I will trust it for now. Unless the site itself is the spook.
Sincerely,
Teddy Daniel

lol,
Thanks Teddy, appreciated.
Good to hear from you. I promise if there were any concerns they would be immediately brought to attention. I can imagine how it appeared. I was focused on a situation and didn't take that into account. I will in the future. Thanks again.

Naa I think you were right. Feels like a private matter though,
but its out in the open now anyway.

I like Sav, but a link wouldnt hurt, not because of "plagiarism" but if you want to know more on the subject.

Please be considerate of others when you engage in this type of behavior.
Shouldn't this veiled reference on Savyfair be handled privately between him, yourself, and the administrators of this site?
One of the rules to good management (the equivalent to moderatorship) is to never discuss your grievances in front of the whole room. Your attempts to veil who you are referencing are thin like tissue paper.
Savyfair: I enjoy your posts dude. Even without links, you've given me some interesting perspectives. However, I wouldn't mind - one Member to another - if you could provide links where possible. Plus it would take away Lucid's reasons to create whine posts all the time; and I think we'd all appreciate that one.
Perhaps you missed this when I posted my OP

I attempted to address this with the member involved as I said above.
Many other members have objected to this in the past. There was even a thread by the membership regarding this and the other member involved (Forestgrove) no long posts here anymore after the membership slammed him about the same issue.
I would never say something if a member occasionally does not post a source, but when it becomes a pattern it does need to be addressed.
Too bad you see this as a whine post when that was not what it is.
I have no control over the way you choose to judge my intention.

There is no accepted scientific definition of what "spoiled" means, and professionals are often unwilling to use the label because it is considered vague and derogatory. Psychologists may describe spoiled children as "overindulged", "grandiose", "narcissistic" or "egocentric-regressed". Nevertheless, spoiled child syndrome is recognized and accepted in the medical community.[1] Also, lay people generally agree on the adjective "spoiled" and what it means.[2]

At one point I counted 18 new topics by this member on the front page alone, this pushes all the other posts onto the next page and isn't a fair practice to the other members who are bringing in new topics as well.
I fully agree with this comment, especially in the light of the fact that on several occasions these posts have been repeat posts of previously submitted topics by other members.
Quantity should never be more important than quality.

Theres nothing wrong with the middle ground.
And i see no reason for him to have refused to link the stories.
I see no reason to create twenty threads in the span of an afternoon...
Weve asked him this politely, that since his topics ARE relevant....what is wrong with spreading them out? As you point out, this IS a forum, and if the speed of information is such that we cant even properly discuss it, then there is a pacing issue. And we are no longer a forum, but an unsourced news aggregator..(which is pointless)
And if he refuses to source the material, since we cant discuss it because it goes by so fast, would at least like the MEANS to check into stuff later, and to gauge the material for ourselves, since the OP is not doing so themselves...thats not too much to ask..also considering it is the law...
Weve said again and again, that his, along with your posts, are relevant, so no one should feel that its being claimed that the stuff is off topic, (usually) or saying that the
stuff doesnt have its place here..
But if those of us who actually do spend the time to add our own thoughts to these discussions, replying and discussing becomes a waste of time, if the topic is going to get knocked off the page within the hour..
Just pacing and source considerations...thats all thats being asked to consider.
And thats not to much to ask..for the reasons we are asking.

As for trying to say to one self. "To post or not to post, or to post what or not to post what??" Where is the line to say over done or no topical?????
does it have merit here??
maybe we are going to leave a story in the dark that may have been important to another that may never find or read it else where.
To me the site is not only a forum, it is a vast library of information. I know we piss some people off by post their stuff here, but hey, we are sending them readers and viewers. Free Promotion for them.. If they take issue with that and our numbers then they are just idiots.
Then again there are some here that no matter what you post they bitch, yet they have nothing of value to say ever nor do they contribute to the forum. So the issue becomes a double edged sword. Damned if you do, or damned if you don't.
this helps keep people here and makes it a one stop shop. Less need to wonder. More proprietary.
But when does sharing become flooding??? I realize that it becomes sometimes overwhelming, but it could be worse in my opinion.. The worse being NO POSTS, NO NEW INFO OR STORIES, NO SHARING.. When this happens we have become like those that wish to silence the voices of freedom and hide the truth.
I don't know if there is an easy answer to this..
Knowledge is Power.... Ignorance is bliss.

This is great not for the idea, or the execution,
but a dad, and his kid, and his friend,
doing something funny together..as 'guys'.
that was awesome.
