I think what we're seeing is definitely part of the disclosure process. But it wouldn't surprise me if there was still a long way to go. The recent reports are helping to set up the foundations for serious public debate by professionals. It will still take a lot to get the attention of the general public who've previously had no interest in the subject.

My personal theory is that NASA will announce a liquid water world, with what they assume to be a thick atmosphere. Which in turn will back up this quote from Seth Shostak..

...it's also silly to throw out the one bit of information we have in the matter; namely, that intelligence has successfully emerged on an ocean-covered planet with a thick atmosphere.

I think it will take a long time for the media to put the pieces together, and to build up the courage to speak about it maturely.

To anyone paying attention - it's pretty much confirmation of what we've always thought.

To anyone not paying attention - i still dont think it's enough to grab their attention!

I think disclosure is going to be cloaked in a narrative.

The process has been underway for quite some time, first to get people used to the idea that it's possible there are other life forms out there.
Then to influence people not to fear
When it comes time for any "big" announcement, I fear it will be scripted by a few in order to keep whatever little control they have

I seen a UFO this morning, I live right beside Shaw AFB in Sumter ,SC . Around 1200pm. It was cloudy overcast day, a black plane looking thing was swooping down like it was fixing to crash at a supersonic speed not like the Jets that fly around here. It curved back around and then shot off super super fast. . It curved around at a super super speed. I did notify the base. It was awesome.
