Indiana,
I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the next generation of people going into retirement / long term care homes. Baby boomers. It's going to explode for sure. The stuff they have put into food over the last 40 years or so is dramatically changing the human body and the folks that have lived through this don't seem to have the natural immune system that the older people do. How do we counteract this? or can we?
Peace,
Slith

Ok,first off i think there is a difference between the fructose that you would consume in fruits and the fructose you would consume in well everything else...just my opinion. You tend to find there is alot of this going on,with the MSG and the Aspartame etc etc etc they really are everywhere and only seem to affect you when you have large doses in your system regularly, hence the reason they are in LOTS of things that most people buy.I am a firm believer,i never used to be,i started out as a sceptic that what we eat is absolutely VITAL to our mental and physical and spiritual well-being.I mean it's such a no-brainer.
Dlsilth, yeah i believe as we age, obviously our bodies become less efficient,in every way possible, but this does not mean that we have to live old age in pain with ailments, hell no,if we look after ourselves now when we are young, implement the healthy habits now then i am certain as can be you will never get sick or have any debilitating illnesses that affect so many of the older generation, god bless them.I've seen so much evidence in front of my own two eyes, with my own family that i am blown away at human ignorance,i actually believe certain people do not want to be healthy, they have been conditioned so much that if the pharmaceudical industry can't "help you" then that's it,your screwed...and to that i say also HELL NO...There are many natural supplements that really do work,i've also seen this for myself and actually experimented on my own body with many different natural supplements.
Anyway there are so many toxins in the environment and in the food,i think it only makes sense to offset this with some great supplementation like spirulina/chlorella and one of my favourites astaxanthin,THAT ONE is amazing....camu,camu is also awesome!!..Fish oils too...Vitacost.com is actually donig the astaxanthin for a special just now for an amazing £9.99 for a months supply, well worth a try for me and if you know anyone with any form of arthritis i urge you to give them this, give them 12 mg/day like i do with my dad,he has no pain and feels great, research it people...astaxanthin...
here's the link for the great deal-i ordered a few,i live in the UK so i have to wait a bit-

http://www.vitacost.com/NSI-Natural-Ast ... n-BioAstin :flop:

It's the exact same astaxanthin made by the same company only this is 6mg/capsule rather than the above which is 4mg,this one is my favourite....i still think it is a great price at $16.

I kid you not,if you live in sunny climates, not like me,but i have read so many testomonials that it makes your skin resistant to being burned, this stuff does so much, don't believe the people that try to play down natural supplements, the right ones DO WORK... :sunny:

The adaptogenic herbs like Rhodiola Rosea are great too....do the research people..
