No mercy for Gary McKinnon: As Obama prepares for UK visit, his law chief insists U.S. will not bend on extradition

President Obama's top law officer last night dealt a bitter blow to computer hacker Gary McKinnon by insisting that he must face trial in a U.S. court.

Eric Holder, the U.S. Attorney General, vowed to 'take all of the necessary steps' to have Gary - who suffers from Asperger's syndrome - extradited and 'held accountable for the crimes that he committed'.

Gary, 45, and his thousands of supporters had been hoping for a breakthrough in his case when Mr Obama visits the UK later this month.

His mother Janis Sharp had written an open letter to the President pleading with him to end ten years of torment.

However, it appears the U.S. has made its decision before Mr Obama even sets foot on British soil.

The only reason they knew of his infringement was because he informed them of the breaches in their security.
You would think they would thank him and give him a job in cyber security.
But no they have to vilify him and make an example.
If he's such a threat to their security why don't they arrange for Gary McKinnon to have a fatal accident (I'm not saying they should).
Oh yeah heaven forbid a government would allow the unlawful killing of another human being.
And people wonder why I have a problem with authority.

Gary did use a war dialer to try all the phone numbers at Nasa, but their technically was no actual hacking involved because after the war dialer found several numbers Gary would just try them until he found one where the root password was blank (when it asked for a password he would just press the enter key and hope there was no password set)

The big question is how will it all come out in court, obviously Nasa was more at fault for not setting the default root password, technically anyone could have accidentally connected and logged in and that would not be computer trespass if it was an accident.

So is the other information Gary viewed gonna come out in court?

How he seen a very basic 4-bit black and white image of some type of space plane or craft and also the list of non-terrestrial crew members of some secret space program!

Is Obama gonna use the Gary Mckinnon case to start some type of legal disclosure project or will they say Gary didnt see what he thought he saw and that it was really a top secret aircraft and his intrusion constitutes A national security breach which makes him a international spy?

The Gary Mckinnon Story keeps getting more and more interesting,If Gary is really telling the truth and it all comes out in court then disclosure might not be very far off.

im really getting tired of all this, i think its about time the right honerable primeminister david cameron ( aka TORY BOY ) gets on the phone to obama and says your not getting him , end of story . i honestly believe thats all it would take , if the leader of our country gets off his fucking knees and shows some backbone.

Obviously, the way they are treating him is absolutely ludicrous. They are either trying to make an example out of him, prevent him from telling what he knows, or using him as some sort of pawn. It's shameful to treat someone with a mental handicap this way. Hopefully at least something good (disclosure, maybe) can come out of this.
