With all of the ''accidents" lately I decided to do a quick look at some of what is happening in the industry.

I started thinking this would be a easy topic and be able to put out something good for you all. Well I quickly became overwhelmed. Loosing my direction I decided to gather up the links of some of what I was finding. I really do not expect this thread to survive much after today. Only because there is a ton of shit out there. I did a quick read on all of the links I am posting.

Not sure how to take all the info. As refinery blow up shut down gas so far seems stable. The 'accidents' that have been happening one after the other made me think otherwise. So I looked. Here are the going ons over the summer/year. Tried to list larger events. I know of two recently. One in Wisconsin and just a few hrs ago in Texas.

Here is what I have over the last 2 hrs....

So much oil, Lets party!

Since shale source rocks lie beneath almost all of the world major oilfields, there is now the potential for billions upon billions of barrels of crude oil to be recovered using the technologies of horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing. Geologists are now beginning to look more closely at shale source rocks beneath many of the world’s major oilfields, including the North Slope in Alaska and under the massive oilfields of Saudi Arabia. So far, the technology of horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing has been almost exclusively used by oil companies in the United States. While US oil companies are largely responsible for developing the technologies that make horizontal shale drilling possible, there is no reason that shale drilling successes couldn’t be duplicated elsewhere in the world, including countries such as China, Russia and in the Middle East. Almost every innovation that has ever been developed in the United States has eventually been copied and then replicated elsewhere in the world, often much more cheaply and even better in some cases.

Perhaps I am trying to read something into this. I am just not sure what it is. All the "accidents" After reading articles Gas seems stable price wise. I just cant put my finger on it. Perhaps due to shale oil or reserves. If any one has thoughts plz add them.
