Hamas IS an armed resistance. It is NOT a fundamentalist muslim terror organization. It is an entirely different thing than the groups that you have categorized it with. This does not justify the random firing of missiles against the general population of it's occuppying enemy. But.... nevertheless...the politics and objectives behind Hamas are not even close to the organizations that you compared it to. I must agree with Lowsix.

I've seen quite a few of his videos, from buying beer from bootleggers in Egypt, to riding around in the street of Syria. From talking to him I think his perspective is different from being there.

Personally, I see Hamas as a terrorist organization, not the likes of a Al Qaeda, but I can see how people in the region would consider them a resistance (if those people followed the same ideas).

I thought they said that the only way to prevent the palestinian
violence coming from gaza once and for all is by land operation,
And now two years after they got missiles to tel aviv!

anybody forgot about the announcement a few months ago when israel said they were gonna build a shitload of new settlements?

this is very helpful to the peaceproces. imo they are largely responsible for what is happening now.

I agree that Hamas is a terrorist organization. I was simply stating that their aim is not Islamic fundamentalism. Their expressed objective is the liberation of the Palestinian people. In no way was I defending their methods. I was simply pointing out that their origin and objectives result from Israeli occupation and repression and they have Muslims in their ranks but they are not an islamic fundamentalist group.

Hamas has completely built the infrastructure for these people which is why they are so popular amongst the people. Problem here is, they also control every aspect that goes on there. The Lebanese population is guilty by association. They actually get along with the Israelis on many levels. Hamas basically uses them as human shields when the shit hits the fan and then the propaganda machine comes flying out that civilians have been killed. Two terrorist factions, and the people are the shrooms. Pitiful
