If you did not hear already as well both Israel and Hamas have came to a cease fire right now.

There is mounting international pressure to end the fighting.

In a televised speech Saturday, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak called on Israel to end military operations and withdraw from Gaza. He dismissed the idea of an international force based in Egypt, saying he would "never accept" a foreign presence on Egyptian soil.

My understanding is that the ceasefire is a unilateral one by Israel (too little, too late and no doubt a reaction to the unprecedented condemnation of Israel from certain quarters of the international community!) and that Hamas have still been firing rockets into Israel (as ineffective as they are!).

However, IDF have not retreated from Gaza, merely ceased firing - though they are reserving the right to open fire on anyone they see as a threat.

I think the 'bargaining chip' used to persuade Israel to call a halt to their slaughter of Palestinians was that the so-called 'secret tunnels' that allow Hamas to obtain weapons will be located and closed down.

I would not be surprised that if this is accomplished, Israel will merely walk into Gaza and take it from the Palestinians without a fight!

Have to agree Claw. You raise an excellent point . We are just like cattle in the eyes of the elite. Cannon fodder. Or as they call it today collateral (additional but less important, Oxford Dictonary.) damage what a nice way to see life.
