Giant Ring around the moon!?

Oh yes the image size must be less the 750X 500 I think.

you might need to use paint it can change the size for you.

Sorry its a really rubbish picture and it looks like light on the lens but its not.

The ring looks really clear here almost orb like.

Can no one else see it?

I can see it a little faded but there none the less.

Perhaps this is what you can see

A moon ring, also known as a winter halo, is a phenomenon that usually appears in conjunction with a full moon. There appears to be a whitish ring, approximately 10 to 20 times the size of the moon, surrounding the moon and centered on it. It is caused by refraction of the light from the full moon in the ice particles floating in the upper atmosphere,[1] as opposed to a rainbow, where light refracts in the water vapor that makes up the clouds. Since this happens most effectively at a certain angle, this ring appears at the bottom of the clouds, and since similar triangles must form between the moon, the refracting surface, and the observation point, the "highlighted" clouds are at approximately the same distance from the moon, creating the image of a ring

I got a load of pics of the same last month but it was the mid morning sun not the moon... Looked really freaky & thought something strange was occurring until I looked it up google, the fact that the time was 11:11 am at its best just fueled the situation :lol:
