Yes, using technological advances to help feed the starving masses is insane..
what were they thinking?

We should have stuck with all the corn that got blight, wheat that got fungus, tomatoes that rotted on the vine becuase of poor soil, veg that were suceptible to bugs, thus requiring heavy pesticides in the air, land and water..

We should not have developed programs that were Breeding Melons and Peppers for Enhanced Levels of Important Antioxidants, Flavonoids and Carotenoids, Preservation and Enhancement of Nutritional Composition of Melon Through Delayed Ripening/Senescence
Changes of Pungency in Onion Bulbs during Maturation and by Field-curing Methods,
Strategies to Enhance Quality of New Vegetables under Semi-arid Environments, Enhancing Tomato Disease Resistance and Nutritional Quality Influence of stress on phytochemical content, Citrus Limonoid Effects on Plasma Cholesterol Reduction,

These are clearly abominations to god..with all that improving going on...

,yeah,like this could not have been done 10/20 years ago,the whole situation is ridiculous and to think that guys like you buy the GMO spin hook,line and sinker is well,disappointing to say the least.

(otherwise known as facts) have cuased any harm whatsoever..

If you disagree..Prove that they were NOT legitimate advances..

My stance with GMO's is that there are way too many uknowns and OUR FOOD SUPPLY on this planet is something we should NOT be playing around with.The stakes are too high to just say "Ah what the hell,will we'll give it a shot,and see what happens" which i basically what is being done.Almost ALL of the evidence i have seen is extremely negative with regards to GMO's,and think about it,the only REASON this is being done is for CONTROL ouf the food supply and to make money,this has NOTHING to do with feeding the hungry.

I mean,GENETICALLY MODIFIED FOOD,you just need to sit like for 2 seconds,look out of the window on a beautiful day to come to a decision on that one....what's happening is that us humans are playing god more and more,and the more we do this the greater the damage we are going to cause,in my opinion.We can manipulate the weather,amongst other things,now genetically engineer food and animals,we have cloning technologies,we then have the LHC...all these things do is divide us even more...ALL THIS is about control.NOT for the betterment of the species..like... :lol:

How does increasing crop yield, making plants grow in a wider variety of soil types, making them resistant to funguses, molds, and disease, making them last longer on the shelf, reducing water requirements, and reducing pesticide requirements divide us again? You lost me completely on that one..

btw..the Term GMO is misleading because because almost all domesticated animals and crop plants have been genetically modified over thousands of years by human selection and cross-breeding.

EVERYTIME you take a tomato plant, make four cuttings, then take the best cutting of those four, plant those and then take the best of those as the final product is dabbling in GMO. You are modifying the original genetic content to provide more fruit.

Selective breeding of cattle to get the largest calves...Genetic modification..
