New discovery: "good" gut bacteria can control organ functions
http://www.naturalnews.com/031636_gut_b ... z1G5XzgJGY
Researchers have long known that the "good" bacteria in the human gut help digest food and keep "bad" pathogens, including an overgrowth of yeast, in check. But could beneficial bacteria be doing even more to build good health? The surprising answer is, most likely, yes.
According to findings just published in the American Society for Microbiology's online journal, mBio, "good" bacteria also appear to exert some level of control over the actual functions of organs, including the liver.
-Tying in perfectly with alternative healthcare systems, ayurveda and TCM.
I recommend sauerkraut and organic miso 3 times week.

You do not want to be near me after some sauerkraut.
It always amazes me the way in which the medical profession orders people around like they are ignorant, yet modern medicine is still in its infancy as far as learning is concerned. Unless something is critical, I do not think that antibiotics (which kill gut bacteria) are called for, yet we have now overused them to the point of creating superbugs with no way out for ourselves.
Interesting times are near.

Nature is neither good nor bad. Nature just is. It makes no choices nor decisions, but it cannot be ignored without peril. Nature will always move towards balance. Sometimes it takes a long time to get to this balance, but it never fails. Nature is patient and more powerful than mankind.
This may seem that I am personifying nature, I mean no such thing. I do not believe in religion of any kind. But that does not mean that we should not recognize powers greater than ourselves.

I completely agree with that assesment of nature, it just is. The only real law is the universal law, if not respected, for mankind = game over, eventually no matter what gadgets and gizmos we invent. We are truly at the stage now where we have to go back to go forward and i'm not being anti-science when i say that. Science needs to be wielded with wisdom. Has this ever been the case ?..
