Damn I don't know where to start, firstly the guy got what he deserved no question.
Though the fact his wife & young child were inside makes me think he maybe got off lightly ,

I wish I was as tough as you guys. I could never shoot someones kneecaps, or feel that anything is worth someones life.

The only fight I ever got into, I was protecting myself, and I ended up on top of the guy, punching his face. I only hit him twice and then started feeling bad about hitting him, so I stopped and got off of him. He then proceeded to trip me, and punched me 10-12 times in the face.

Another time, I had a knife swung 3 inches from my face. 5 seconds later, I had the perfect opportunity to kick the bastard square in the head. Instead I ran.

Call me a pussy, I don't care. I don't have the aggressive nature to fight back, even in defence.

I know. I wasn't being sarcastic when I said I wish I was as tough as you guys.

The sad thing is, is if I was in the same position as this guy, I would not have hit him, and something bad might have happened to me, my wife, and my kid.

If I was in a war, I would probably surrender or be killed, rather than killing the enemy.

I would rather be killed, than live with the knowledge that I had killed someone else. If that makes any sense to anyone.

It's funny.

I'm on the fence concerning gun laws, but I think that dude is bust-a-cap worthy.

I'm a bundle of contradictions, but,

it is interesting living in a place now where you go to jail for 5 years for a pistol.

People don't get shot much here. What can I say?

I was born and raised in Texas. There are a lot of places and ways to get shot there.

There is not one neighborhood in Holland that I've seen that I would be afraid to walk through at night.

I can understand the gun owner's arguments. I guess if I lived in the US again I might would own a gun.

It's just hard to convince myself that the gun situation is "good" in the States...
