A virus cannot be treated with antibiotics. Furthermore, once you have caught a virus, and lived through it, you are immune to that particular virus for the rest of your life. Viruses mutate easily, bacteria are basically the same thing that has been (plagueing) us for centuries. By reading the forums here recently, I think we are really in trouble. (If you have a cold DO NOT take antibiotics, save it for something real) WAKE UP!!!

Well said man.

The plague is one of the easiest thing on the planet to control and survive. It was only the unhygienic practices of old that caused it to spread as it did and kill. Today in a modernized country the plague has less effect than the common cold.

Again.........nice catch Rob.

Really guys, bubonic plague isn't what it used to be. We get 6 to 12 cases of it every year here in New Mexico. Occaisionally someone dies from it, usually because they waited too long to see a doctor. It's often found in varieties of wild mice, and the shit carries it as well. It is very well recognized, treated, and contained. Lack of facilities in other countries make it an occurrence there too.

@Crazynutsx.......Came acroos this vid, and thought of your signature. It's right on the money!
