how about this, both sides are whacked out from 5000+ years of sunstroke and goofy religious idealism. they're gonna try to drag the rest of the world down with them. I know there is endless talent/beauty among them, but show me real mass movement forward?

Malaysia/Indonesia is perhaps the closest.
