Just finished watching the movie Harrison Bergeron, it is an interesting and frightening look at our own times. It's a combination of 1984 and MATRIX with a 50s-style movie. The fact that we allow ourselves to be told what to think and do is played out in an interesting fashion.

"All men are not created equal. It is the purpose of the Government to make them so." This is the premise of the Showtime film adaption of Kurt Vonnegut's futuristic short story Harrison Bergeron. The film centers around a young man (Harrison) who is smarter than his peers, and is not affected by the usual "Handicapping" which is used to train all Americans so everyone is of equal intelligence.

The film takes place in a dystopic future in which the US government mandates total egalitarianism in all things, by having everyone attach wearable mind "handicapping" devices to their heads and showing only mind numbing shows on TV. The story centers on a high school student named Harrison Bergeron whose extreme intelligence makes him something of a pariah. He is ultimately recruited by a secret organization whose purpose is to operate the functions of society that cannot be handled by the unintelligent.
While he thrives in this environment for a time and even meets a girlfriend there, he ultimately pays a personal price and comes to see the true social structure as unethical and immoral, and thus rebels - even if it means making a sacrifice.

I was waiting to hear from someone who watched it.

I thought it sounded pretty good from the OP myself, even saved that pic of the Pyramid Sun.

Glad this floated it's way back up.

People really have to wake up too all this obvious symbolism in movies, I'm thinking of making a solid thread that can be updated... like the topic Sun Watch or something, where people can post a movie or pictures / video's about Illuminati / Freemason / NWO Symbolism!

If people are interested in this that is ofcourse 8-) Well I will check when I have the time to post a descent thread about this subject in the hope people will join with their findings, so we can build up like a database.... anyhow enough ranting, A example maybe:

Vonnegut is THE BEST! The Harrison B story.. I think... is among the short stories in "welcome to the monkey house".... fascinating stuff....similarly themed stories... about sheeple, and alas, what happens to nonconformists.... hmm... Bergeron is killed in end right?

There's another great story... called "Deer in the Works"... when this Post modern, industrialized society, where so many factories persist that much of the green space and wildlife is destroyed... so one day... somehow, quite miraculously, a deer is discovered after it wandered into the factory grounds... the workers are amazed, many had never seen a deer before, it was so rare... so, they begin this process of trying to catch up with the animal... which becomes frightened... and tries to flee... and this pandamonium ensues... everybody chasing after the deer... amazed, exhilerated, baffled by the emergence of this, now, rare creature... and yes, they finally catch the deer in the end... and quickly put it to death.... ahhh... Vonnegut... god bless him... (and Mr Rosewater)...

by the way... want a great adaptation of Vonnegut book... check out Nick Nolte and John Goodman in Mother Night..
"When the going gets weird... the weird turn pro."
