There are many health benefits from dancing, children love music and love to dance as soon as they are able to do so. Dance helps them to connect with their joy....

Belly dancing.... It's sensual, meditative and grounding. Women who belly dance (no matter the size/shape) have a healthier body image and are more in tune with themselves and their environment. I've found it to be better than Tai Chi or even meditation, because you're fusing the soul and the body- literally experiencing the physical instead of trying to escape it. Somehow this dance has been distorted by Western perceptions as something temple prostitutes and bar dancers do, which is far from the tradition of it being by women, for women. There are a few male dancers, too.

Oh, and I've had two labors- the longest was 4 hours. :flop:
