THIS is HORRIFING !!!! The action of medications like this are not completely known.  Children are actively learning and their brains are reorganizing at a high pace. So WHY do this?!?! Does it just boil down to money?!?! Amongst a big list of reactions to the drug
suicidal thinking and behaviour comes out high in children, adolescents, and young adults in short-term studies of major depressive disorder (MDD) and other psychiatric disorders.
Find the ‘cause’ and treat IT - NOT the symptom !! :flop:

When I was five, I was diagnosed with Terrettes-syndrome. The drug they started me on was Haldol. I found out later that this drug is given to patients in psychiatric wards, and they gave me this at age FIVE!!?? By the time I was ten, I had been switched to 3 other drugs, of which I can only remember one name, and that was Orap. These drugs, combined with my social life at school, which was non-existent due to litterally ALL the kids making fun of me ... including parents too, kept me from growing mentally and socially until my freshman year in high-school.
The medicine didn't help my Terrettes much at all, and I accomplished something not many people can with this disorder .... I learned how to control it. It is VERY rare that this happens, because typically when you try to control it, it only gets worse and makes you physically ill. This may not be the case for many people with Terrettes, but I noticed that when I played music, my Terrettes was virtually non-existent. I play music, it's in my blood, and nothing makes me happier. One day I was at school and stood up for myself against a bully, and noticed my Terrettes wasn't acting up. I eventually realized that my disorder, atleast for me, was triggered by stress and anxiety. I completely stopped taking ALL of my medication, started taking up for myself and bringing balance to my life in every way. I also started smoking marijuana, and to this day ... over 10 years later .... only those who have known me for a very long time can tell when my terrettes acts up, because its extremely subtle (it only acts up when I am stressed or anxious), and most of the time people don't even notice it.

Ultimately, the best medicine for pysh disorders, atleast in my experience, is a healthy thought process, and a healthy, loving envrionment. Of course this is not the case for more extreme disorders, like Schizophrenia.
