The Lend Lease thing wasnt just a nice wording it was, I will lend you this for a lease period because you need it and it will cost lots. A company and havnt heard of it for awhile. Haliburtons dad maybe.
By the way I do not disrespect the sacrifices of those who went to war but I question the motives of those that send.

A snipit of vietnam
The real beginnings started a lot early in the '20's when a young Vietnamese nationalist, who would eventually be known as Ho Chi Minh, was in the U.S. studying. He wrote letters to the U.S. presidents asking for their help in ridding his country of French colonialism. They were ignored. During WWII, this same person was contacted by the U.S. military, and told that in return for Vietnamese help in fighting the Japanese, after the war was over, the U.S. would help Vietnam achieve independence from the French. This promise was broken, and various factions of Vietnamese under the eventual command of Minh, united to fight the occupying military of France. Much of the cost of the French presence in Vietnam was borne by the U.S. from the very beginning under the guise of fighting communistic expansion. After the peace accords were signed in 1954-55, one of the stipulations was that Vietnam was to be divided into two countries with elections to be held withing two years in each section regarding total unification into one country. It was the South Vietnam portion, under the control of their U.S. backed gov't that refused to hold these elections. Thus basically the war was born again. It was not so much a war of communistic aggresion, as it was a civil war to reunite the country as a whole. The main reasons it was perceived as a communist threat, were some of the ideology's of the north, and the fact that they North turned to communist countries for the supplies and support they would need in their fight, since the U.S. would not provide them with any aid, and the U.S. clearly sided with the consistently corrupt regimes of the southern divide.

A novel called Black Eagles what was recommended by a known who sold alot of drugs in the 80's, CIA all the way with a bag of cocaine.
When is a novel not a novel? Collins, coauthor of the best-selling Is Paris Burning?, retells here the fall of Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega, with cynical vignettes of CIA director Bill Casey, Vice President George Bush, Marine Oliver North, and others. Kevin Grady, a DEA agent passionately devoted to destroying the importation and sale of cocaine, finds himself thwarted again and again by CIA officer Jack Lind, whose professional success is dependent upon the good fortunes of Noriega and associated Central American drug dealers. While Lind and Grady chase criminals, the body count of innocent victims mounts. The most interesting scenes are the descriptions of spycraft, including the meticulous courting and occasional blackmail of confidential informants. Since most readers are familiar with the historical events and the consequent political fallout, the plot itself generates little suspense. Essentially, this is a rehash of the dismal extralegal activities of the CIA, with emphasis on drug-dealing, money-laundering, and interagency battles for turf and glory. The mixture of real and fictional characters only further confuses the reader. Not recommended.?Elsa Pendleton, Boeing Computer Support Svcs., Ridgecrest, Cal.

You do not want to listen to it, it will hurt.

The size of the lie is a definite factor in causing it to be believed, because the vast masses of a nation are, in the depths of their hearts, more easily deceived than they are consciously and intentionally bad.
The primitive simplicity of their minds renders them more easy victims of a big lie than a small one, because they themselves often tell little lies but would be ashamed to tell big ones. Such a form of lying would never enter their heads. They would never credit others with the possibility of such great impudence as the complete reversal of facts.
Even explanations would long leave them in doubt and hesitation, and any trifling reason would dispose them to accept a thing as true.
Something therefore always remains and sticks from the most imprudent of lies, a fact which all bodies and individuals concerned in the art of lying in this world know only too well, and therefore they stop at nothing to achieve this end.
~ Adolph Hitler, Mein Kampf
