Hovering Florida UFO was size of 'football field'

Two witnesses report watching a hovering UFO the size of a football field.

Two Florida witnesses report a "Frisbee-like" UFO the size of a football field came into view and hovered for 20 to 30 seconds before moving away at 2:27 p.m. on April 27, 2011, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The reporting witness described the object.

"It had some black window looking things. It appeared to be rotating like a fan. It went left real fast. Then weirdly it dead stopped for 20-30 seconds. It was silver. It was at least size of football field."

The witness reports being calm at first, but then after thinking about the sighting, was scared - and anxiety set in. The entire sighting lasted about two minutes.

Englewood is in both Charlotte and Sarasota counties, FL, population 16,196. No images or videos were submitted with the MUFON report, which was filed on April 27, 2011.

Florida is a current UFO ALERT 3 rating, with a high number of UFO sightings nationally. Florida had 23 UFO reports in March 2011 - while California had 45 sightings, the highest reporting state in the nation.

Its described like the one i witnessed in Calif. It was at least the size of a football field, if not bigger. If i were to see one today, my cell phone is a cheap one with no camera. But my sighting was back in the early 90's. Im just saying that its quite possible they really seen it.

The biggest question I have with these huge UFOs is WHY the need for such massive craft??

They are either taking or leaving mass quantities of something, weather it be people or resources.

My grandfather (now gone) once told me he saw one hiding in a cloud there was an open spot where he could clearly see a dark brown color. I remember at the time, I thought he's really old and probably just senile or whatever. Of course, these days, I know it's true so I feel bad for not believing him now. I've seen them too only, I havn't seen them uncloaked.

Why do they use these huge ships?

My personal feel is that they come in droves. Likely an advanced civilization that measures by the googol. These are like 'intergallactic tours'. Perhaps their equivalent to an ocean liner.

Just a hunch. It's not too far fetched.

My father told me he'd seen a big silver disk come out of the water (at the beach). I was'nt sure i believed him untill years later when i had my experience of the 3rd kind. There are more and more reported sightings comming these days. It has to mean something. All i know, is the craft i witnessed took up about three football fields of space. And the bell shaped things that came out of it and flew right to us and shined the light on us, was and still is the strangest thing that has ever happened to me. I have been looking ever since.
