There is nothing to switch on, Tesla intended to incite Ionosphere to amplify the current, then he could just tap it anywhere on the world. The amplification was several million fold I believe.

kinda like what HAARP is doing now, only not for the same purpose and not the same strength.

I know basically how it works but if it was that is someone would have built it and I would have it in my house, gotta rush type as I've got 3 tournaments going on at the same time lulz

A while back and dug through and found a Tesla video that showed an experiment
he did with a hundred foot cable strung between two poles [ similar to the free air systems on the net.]
One end of this wire went down to a box on the pole and the system was grounded.
There was one item in the box that was never shown, but conjecture from the rest of the material was that there was a tank circuit including a transformer for ac output to step up to at least 90/110 volts at a fair current.
Some say that an ac wave of current was calibrated at the vibration of the earth and stepped up in frequency then utilized. Apparently a statement was made that it could power a house. Tesla started with 25cycle ac originally.
This is maybe close to the truth as homes of yesteryear did not use a lot of power.
