As i posted in the other thread. I believe Irene will be weak when it gets to NY...

Something doesn't compute.! Millions told to leave and evrything shutting down.?

Winds down to 85mph already and still loads of land to travel over.

Winds 74-95 mph (64-82 kt or 119-153 km/hr). Storm surge generally 4-5 ft above normal. No real damage to building structures.

I just had a horrible thought after gbrowns post and its total scare mongering, sorry...

We are approaching the 10th aniversary of 911... If you want to rig up stuff to have another 911 then get people out the way whilst you do it....
