I talked, but the asshole never listened or talked back.
Do you know how traumatizing that is for a child?
In real life, do you know how much therapy kids need when their parents neglect them their whole lives?

Being treated as if they didn't even exist.
It's a horrible thing to do to a child.

When my son ask me something or talks to me, I always make sure to listen and give a good response.
